Basement Transformation
Our clients for this unique project wanted to adapt their under-utilized basement for various recreational functions including a wine cellar, hot tub, bathroom, and exercise room. They sought a more sophisticated subterranean environment than the usual basement “rec room”.
The wine cellar was designed to accommodate a growing collection of over 2,000 bottles of fine wine. The new structure resembles a large wooden wine cask-- a space in which one is symbolically and literally enveloped by wine.
